Isn’t DAD amazing!? Isn’t His Mercy and His Grace, amazing?! Isn’t His Loving tenderness and His Holy Righteousness amazing?! This song is playing as I reflect on a week of HIM doing some amazing things through His Amazing Power and Love! WOW…He is such an amazing Dad!! Take a break and tell Him how amazing He is!!

On Sunday, my little sister turned 28 years old and her husband, new family, and friends spoiled her rotten! It was definitely an answer to all my pryrs to see HIM surround her on her special day with so many people who love her! I love you, hermanita!

Monday and Tuesday, I stayed in Cartagena to work on some details for the youth group that was coming from my home club the next week. I had the chance to skype with Amy’s group of crazy kids as they studied South America. It was great to see my little nephew, who is huge! I skyped with two other friends whom I have not spoken to in a long time to hear all about what HE has been doing in their lives. I am so thankful for technology and that HE chose to bless me with Internet so that I can have precious moments like these with family and friends!

Wednesday, Jota, Darlys, and I headed out to the village to arrange everything for the team that was coming and do normal village activities! It was an incredible time of watching HIM strengthen and unite His People as they all were giving me input as to what exactly they wanted to do while the group was here. It was a great day of discipleship, as HE continues to supernaturally open their hearts to trust me and share things with me! He is also uniting Jota with three of the young men in the village – please pry about this opportunity for these men to walk and learn from Jota this summer.

That evening we are all sitting in the house just pryng over everything that we had decided during the day to do with the team. As we were sitting around the table, I look and see a table full of Palenqueros, Colombians, a Brazilian, and an American…all united by This Great Dad of ours for His Glory. I looked around and was in awe of what HE had done…uniting all of us…calling all of us…choosing all of us! I am in awe of a Dad who called me to this work in April of 2011 and I wasn’t able to come to the village until February of 2012. I had been feeling stuck at my home in the US and Cartagena pryng for the work in Palenque without even being able to go to the village. I had feelings of being useless and did not understand any of it. Until now, as I look at how HE was preparing all of His People and calling them out to serve HIM. HE was forming His Team while I was on my knees. WOW…who  is like YOU among the gods? I immediately had to ask for forgiveness as I had doubted my purpose here and had been impatient waiting on His Timing. How very small I am and How VERY BIG YOU ARE, My Abba!! I can’t even write this without crying thinking of my impatience and standing in awe of An All Powerful Dad.

So, we each took turns pryng for one another and I had the privilege to pry over J, an 18 year old who surrendered lordship of his life over to HIM and accepted His Call on his life as a M. As I am pryng, HE blessing me my connecting a vision I had in a dream in March of 2011. I did not share this vision with many people because I am in idiot and did not believe that anyone would believe me and so I kept this incredible secret to myself…another act of disobedience! I had a vision of this young Palenquero and HE clearly told me to pry for him because HE was going to call him out for great things. I woke up from my dream and drew this young man’s face. I have had this drawing with me since then and have fervently pryd for him…not knowing his name, who he was, or where /if I would ever get the chance to meet him. It was when I was pryng over J that HE connected my drawing with J. It was J that I had been pryng over this entire time and had not realized it when we met in February! HE had called J to HIMSELF in April of 2011 and he accepted!! Are you kidding me? How can you not fall on your knees in this GREAT and MIGHTY DAD we serve after hearing something like this! HE allowed me to experience yet another one of His Miracles! I am so undeserving! Please pry for J as he is being attacked with some sin issues right now. Pry that he will open up to Jota and allow HIM to penetrate J’s heart with His Truths!

Thursday was another amazing day in HIM. Spending more and more time with people in the village – forming more of their worldview and hearing HIM guide each conversation towards His Truths! Incredible, I tell you!! To be a daughter of The Creator and the chosen bride for The King, there is nothing like it!

Friday, we went to the farm to spend some time with them and finalize plans that for the work the team would do at the farm. It was a great day of loving on Stacy and Julie as they have now been husbandless for 1 week and life is difficult for them on the farm with Josh and Mike are gone. Please pry that HE will grant The Riffle’s and Harpole’s their visas quickly so that these men can get back to their families!

Friday afternoon and Saturday, I just needed to get away. I was really looking at this group as more of a burden than a blessing – I had gotten really bogged down in all the responsibilities and details of this group that I had stopped praising HIM for the blessing it was to finally have a group from my club to come and serve alongside of me! HE gave me permission to get away to Barranquilla for a day and a half. It was a great day of relaxing in HIS Words, in air conditioning, and in His Arms. Allowing HIM to recharge me and refocus my mind on the things that matter. Plus, I was able to go to Price Smart again (the South American equivalent of Sam’s/Costco) to purchase some food for the team cheaply! And my parent’s who are so good to me, gave me some money to purchase an air conditioning unit and Price Smart had a good model that was cheaper. I have been having headaches every day for the past 3 weeks and it must be from the heat and not resting at night. So these two days were such a blessing to me and I came back refreshed and ready for what HE had planned for the week with the team.

Sunday, I went to club and afterwards invited several members from the club and the new pastor and his family over for lunch. I wanted to take advantage of getting to know him and his family, offer my services, give them a place to relax, and take their kids off their hands for a little bit. It was a great day with them but I was exhausted afterwards…their three boys are precious but a handful!

Monday and Tuesday were days filled with shopping for 15-30 people for a week, organizing, finalizing, and final trips to the village and farm. It was also during these two days when we found out that B, another M’s mom had passed away. They were able to find a cheap flight for the entire family of 6 and they would be able to get away for an entire month to spend time with family and friends. Please pry for the Paul’s as they mourn the loss of B’s mom, make final arrangements to go home, and for a time of rest for them at home.

Well, it is late and the group comes tomorrow and I still have to clean the house and buy the last of the food! I am so excited to see what HE is going to during this week in each of their lives and the lives of the Palenqueros!
